Project Title: "In My Eyes" VR/AR experience

Client: Regeneron Pharmaceuticals

Role: Senior Interactive Developer

Tools Tools: Unity, C#, Google Cardboard SDK, Javascript, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator

Delivery Method: Customer Branded Google Cardboard Headset, Android Phone, iPhone

Project Description:

Tasked to create an Immersive virtual and augmented reality empathetic experience for Regeneron Pharmaceuticals that simulates what life could look like with three retinal eye conditions.

Marketing Strategy:

Utilized the customer branded Google cardboard headsets to allow the client the ability to distribute takeaway assets for conference type-settings to promote Eylea.

Video Production:

We partnered with production and special effects experts whose work has been featured on Lost, Breaking Bad and Westworld, who custom-built a specialized camera rig to film our scenarios from a full 360-degree perspective.

Development Approach:

The development approach for this project was split into two directions to effectively deliver the clients requirement.

* Story Mode: Collaborated with Senior Art Directors, Copywriters and video production experts to create an immersive environment in Unity using the Google cardboard SDK, which features a Doctors office waiting room, which acts as the main navigation portal, to three virtual reality videos that put you in the shoes of three different retinal disease patients.

* Live Mode: Utilized Unity to create filters to demonstrate the retinal disease states in augmented reality with Unity's Webcam texture through the phone's camera system for real-time effects in the user's immediate surroundings.

Project Title: "Novocure Transducer Array" Pixelsense experience

Client: Novocure

Role: Senior Interactive Developer

Development Tools: Microsoft Expression Blend, XAML, Microsoft Surface 2.0 SDK, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, 3D Studio Max

Delivery Method: Samsung SUR40 with Microsoft PixelSense Multi-Touch Interactive Table

Project Description:

Tasked with creating an engaging and informative conference booth experience to educate attendees about the use and science of the Novocure Transducer Array, which is used to treat human brain tumors.

Development Approach:

Collaborated with a Senior Creative Director to design a multi-directional interactive user interface, which allows multiple users to interact with the application at once. Utilizing table-to-object tag interaction technology, we were able to allow users to drive the experience using a set of physical objects they could place and move on the table as the application navigation system. The application main interface was developed in Microsoft Expression Blend, and supporting interface assets created in Photoshop and Illustrator. 3D Studio Max was used for the Novocure Transducer Array device navigation experience. All video assets were edited and rendered with After Effects.

Project Title: "Galderma Laboratories Pitch Piece" zSpace experience

Client: Galderma Laboratories

Role: Senior Interactive Developer

Development Tools: Unity, C#, zSpace SDK, Blender, Structure 3D Scanner

Delivery Method: zSpace Stereoscopic 3D Augmented Reality Display

Project Description:

Tasked with creating an interactive training simulation, proof of concept, application for applying skin injection products to a virtual patient.

Development Approach:

Acquired the virtual patient 3D assets using a Structure 3D Scanner to scan a live subject, and refine the scanned 3D assets in Blender to reduce the polygon count. Used the zSpace SDK for Unity to import the 3D assets and create the Stereoscopic 3D Augmented Reality viewing environment. The application was then published to the zSpace viewing platform, which is an interactive, head tracking based, stereo 3D viewing display, that allows the user to interact with content that can be pulled off the screen.

Project Title: "Otsuka America Pharmaceuticals Proof of Concept" HoloLens Schizophrenia Episode Simulator

Client: Otsuka America Pharmaceuticals

Role: Senior Interactive Developer

Development Tools: Unity, C#, Microsoft HoloLens SDK, Visual Studio, Adobe Audition

Delivery Method: Microsoft HoloLens

Project Description:

Tasked with creating a proof of concept for Otsuka America Pharmaceuticals simulating a paranoid schizophrenic episode, while representing Intouch Solutions at the EMD AR/VR Hackathon in Austin, TX.

Development Approach:

Unity application using the HoloLens SDK for spatial event triggering and space recognition, which generates an initial episode of user-triggered audio messages, which act as the voices being heard by a patient as they move through a defined space. The experience can be regenerated with a new random series of audio messages utilizing a voice command. Used Adobe Audition to record and edit the VO messages, which are stored in a library as content to be utilized upon application regeneration.

Project Title: "Retail New Hire & Sprint Essentials" Level 3 IMI training courses

Client: Sprint

Role: Senior Interactive Developer

Tools: Flash, Actionscript, 3D Studio Max, Brazil R/S, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator

Delivery Method: Flash based webpage hosted through the Sprint University LMS

Project Description:

Tasked with designing and developing level 3 IMI learning experiences to educate and test newly hired retail store employess on Sprint sales culture, techniques and policies.

Course Design Approach:

Collaborated with a team of Instructional Developers and Designers to redesign the learning experience from a "board game" approach to a "first-person" appraoch, allowing the user the experience of being in the store as they are learning the material through Scenerio selection experiences and a Learn it - See it - Reccomend(Try) it learning model with testing checkpoins at the end of each experience to ensure overall material retention.

UI/UX Approach:

Partnered with a UI/UX designer to come up with the "In-store" navigation experiences. The overhead view of the store accompanied with hotspot learning stations and a master navagation outside of the overall experience allowed users to move around the course freely.

Video/Audio Production:

Collaborated with Instructional Designers who scripted each of the scenerios and Directed Video/Audio production artists who casted, shot and edited each of the video and VO assets for both courses.

The intro sequence for "Retail New Hire" was created in After Effects to introduce the purpose of the course and navigation system.

Course Development Approach:

I started development by mapping out the main interface structure and navigation system by incorporating 3d versions of both store layouts as the stage for the primary navigation systems for each of the courses.
I then mapped out the internal navigation system also incorporating 3d versions of the hotspot stations, which allows the user to move back and forth within each of the learning areas.
The main and internal navigation systems were brought together using a 3d animated transition sequence rendered in After Effects.

Worked with Graphic designers to layer all visual assets into each visual aspect of both courses.

Each of the testing stations were created using a single Flash component customized for the individual testing scenerio.
